Think Spot: Introduction to a New Series

Since I am not shooting shows 3-4 times a week to share with you, I thought I’d start a new series for the in between times called Think Spot.

It’ll be a series on why I think Christianity is not some knee jerk reaction to life, but rather, in my mind, a rational & hopefully thoughtful approach.

I really think you should have a better argument then just “well, the bible say’s it.” There should be some logic behind it, some deep thought. Mind you, I’m not a studied pastor or a brilliant scholar, but just an average guy and these are just one guys thoughts compared to everyone else.

This whole idea of Think Spot was actually triggered by a dear friend of mine.

I was talking to one of my good friends the other day (who I really love by the way) but it drives him nuts that I say I’m a Christian. He always tells me “I don’t want any part of that craziness” and is always riding me because he just can’t fathom how I can buy into that “fairy tale”.

Left Wing Nut Job

So he calls me his “left wing nut job”.. As we have been friends forever .. I take no offense…Actually I’m kinda flattered. To me, it just means that he see’s me sticking to my values & beliefs”.

In these posts I’m planning on writing about why I think Christianity is not only true, but also rational. I think any religion/belief where you have to give up your rational thought can be very dangerous.

I know a ton of you will disagree with everything I write, and that’s cool.. So does my friend, but at least it might give you some insight into what I think an “authentic” Jesus follower should actually believe and act.

And it’s not those nutty TV preachers who tell you to grab your TV and Feeeeeelllll the power!!… (maybe you would if you had a electrical short). I believe Christianity is alot more rational then most people’s perceptions.

Please remember, I’m not a college educated pastor or a brilliant scholar, but just an average guy. So I might get some things wrong..but I’ve been wrong in the past.. Very wrong.
