I have never seen Thousand Foot Krutch until now. Even though they have been through town before I just didn’t get the chance. But after seeing them at Creation, I came away mighty impressed! I’ll be certain to catch them their next time through Pittsburgh.

Shooters Notebook:
So here is a set of live and learn for all you concert photographers.. Including myself, as I had the same issue with my Red set. Basically if you shooting manual you gotta pay alot more attention to your lighting. TFK played the same time of day that Red did and again I didn’t account for where the sun was gonna be.. so there are a number of images with the exposure right on the money and then others I had to work hard to salvage from totally over exposure.. makes me glad I shoot in RAW..
If you didn’t read my Red post about exposure, it breaks down like this. The main stage had a partial roof over it, so shooting straight on you are exposing for that covered area. However, when you change your position and angle then start tracking the musicians moving across the stage into the direct sun and don’t account for it in your exposure.. thats when your in trouble..There was like a 3.5 stop difference between the 2 areas.. Doh.. These are those live and learn moments.. and I certainly hope I learn
