Photos Kutless; Backstage @ One True God tour

I was amazingly fortunate to be able to spend the evening backstage with the guys from Kutless on their One True God tour. All of the guys are so fun to be around. They are a great band and more importantly they have a great message! I was so blessed to be able to share in it, if even it was just a small way.
One of the coolest things they are doing this tour is a VIP acoustic set. 3 songs off of their newest album that has just been released. I gotta admit that I think I almost liked the acoustic versions better.. it’s probably just cause I’m old 
but you can bet I’ll be buying the record next time I’m out an about.
Hope you don’t mind the random B&W.. I just really liked this and thought it looked great in B&W. If your a fan of Kutless, you’ll know right away it’s James Mead.
Shooters Notebook:
Blah… Fluorescence lights everywhere.. The good thing about shooting RAW is it’s super easy to change your white balance.
I shot most of the backstage stuff using my Tamron 17 -50 f.28.. I really need to get something around 24-70 that I could actually afford That would’ve been really helpful in the tight hallways, maybe another time.

I photographed Kutless at IgniteFest 2011 this summer — great guys and outstanding music! Festivals are great in some ways (all the people, multiple bands, great atmosphere, sometimes catching moments between bands), but I still love small concerts (where you can sometimes spend time with the bands, get to chat with them or take them for a crazy photo shoot).

Yah.. the Kutless guys are so fun to hang with. Last festival I shot was 2 years ago at CreationFest, I kinda miss that. But I do love the challenge of the indoor club/arena.
