Photos Hawk Nelson @ Rock & Worship Roadshow

Continuing the amazing lineup of artists on the Rock and Worship Roadshow.. I give you Hawk Nelson!

This the second time I’ve photographed them, last time was Creation 2009, and I keep wondering why it’s taken me so long to shoot them again. They are just a blast to watch and photograph.. You can bet I’ll be watching their tour dates much more closely in the future.

Hawk Nelson is one high energy band.. all the guys are very talented, but I think what I dug the most was their interplay with the audience. Frontman Jason Dunn kept jumping down into the audience, while the other members seemed to bring their own charisma to the audience from on the stage. The last song of their set included the guys coming out with “Big Hair” wigs and performing an amazing version of Journeys “Don’t Stop Believing” It was Wicked-Cool! (showing my age)
