I finally covered my very first Hip-Hop show.. Hip-Hop == Hard. Lecrae’s Rehab tour came to town and I thought this might be a fun show to cover. It was & I had a great time!
Artists included: Canon, Thi’sl, Andy Mineo a.k.a. C-Lite & Lecrae.

Opening the evening was Aaron McCain….a.k.a. Canon.

The Skit Guys @ Ignition 2011

Direct from Oklahoma..(you know, where the wind comes sweeping down the range) come the Skit Guys to close out Ignition 2011. They are a two man team teaching gospel truth’s mainly through comedy sketches like you would find on Saturday Night Live. Man, they were funny! How funny were they, you ask. Anderson Grove @ Ignition 2011

These next couple post will be slightly different then usual. This is a local worship team called Anderson Grove. Each year the Western PA Chapter of the  National Network of Youth Ministries put’s on a youth event called Ignition to kick off the school year. This year I was invited to cover it and couldn’t have been more excited.

Hillsong UNITED Aftermath Tour

Hillsong UNITED appeared in the Steel City (Pittsburgh PA) at the Consol Energy Center the new home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, if you follow hockey; if you don’t then the place where they have been filming the latest Batman movie . It was an evening of praise and worship and even more praise. For this show I got an amazing treat… an All Access pass to shoot anywhere, even limited stage access.

Point & Shoot Concert Photography

I got a number of folks asking me about how to take better concert photo’s with their point & shoot camera’s so instead of having to try to answer everyone individually I thought I’d just post about it.

It’s really hard to be able to speak specifically about any particular P&S as they are so very different from one another and keep getting better and better.. as a matter of fact there are a couple of P&S that are out there that are as good as some of the entry level Dslr.. I’m told the Nikon CoolPix P7000 is really unbelievable at about 500 bucks.. anyway what I thought I’d do is just give you some idea’s and approaches on how to set you camera to get the most out of it. ….these thoughts as  just generalities not “gospel”

So grab a notebook, so you can keep track of the changes you made and lets get started. (That way you can always set them back if you need to).
